Dunbar auditioned for, and won, a place at London's Guildhall School Of Music and Drama, finding himself in the same year as Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey, who would become a great friend, along with fellow Northern Irish actor Charlie Lawson, of Coronation Street.
